We used 20-count cotton fabric of appropriate thickness.
To create a vintage feel, we used white eye fabric instead of the previously used white.
(Think of it as an ivory-like white, not a bluish white.)
We have tried to minimize the shrinkage characteristic of cotton by using fabric that has undergone tumble washing and tenta processing.
For the neck shirring, high-density fly fabric is used so it does not stretch or sag easily.
We used neck tape on the neckline to prevent shrinkage and twisting.
